At a meeting of the Rappahannock County School Board on ' Wednesday, February lid), it was disclosed that the delay in starting V construction on the new high j school at Flatwood was due to the fad that ^Rappahannock County must wait another ten months, at best estimates, before its $75,000 ? loan from the State Literary Fund will be paid. Application for this . loan was made over a year and a half ago, but Superintendent of , Schools Q. D. Casque advised the meeting that due to the heavy remand for funds from all over the state, Rappahannock must wait urctM the funds are available.
M'. Casque assured the meeting that the $160,000 of Battle Funds aval able to Rappahannock County for its school construction program was not jeopardized in any way by this delay and would be claimed as soon as the Literary Fund loan is received.
The School Board reviewed the recomme dation of the Citizens Committed that ah expenditure estimated at $12,000 be made for / sanitary facilities in four negro schools, to' be paid for from the " School Construction Fund. y M
