mother, Mrs. Mamie Leake. The Leake car skidded on wet pavement, turned around in the road and skidded backwards into the oncoming Barker car, according to Trooper W. A. Bunrin.
Mrs. Delores Genevieve Barker wife of George Barker was admitted to the University of Virginia Hospital with face injuries, a broken jaw, both knees injured and possible internal injuries.
Leake was slightly scratched and bruised. Passengers in the Leake car were Earl Franklin Jewell, who was treated for head injuries and released; James William Menefee, who was treated for an injured right eye and released and Roy Menefee who was admitted to the University of Virginia Hospital with a broken ndie and fractured leg. All are from Boston, Virginia.
Damages to the Barker 1955 Chevrolet station wagon were estimated at $1300 and to the Leake car as $600.
Leake was charged with reckless; driving and involuntary manslaughter.
Mr. Bruce Appointed
Dog Warden
. Wednesday, July 9 the counties ' of Isle of Wight, Orange, Rappahannock, Russell, and Stafford joined 54 other Virginia counties in enforcing their own dog laws, thereby permitting the game wardens in these counties to become full-time wildlife protectors, the state game commission reports. Judge R. V. Snead has appointed Jack Bruce to serve as dog warden of Rappahannock County following the recommendation sent to him by the Board of Supervisors. Mr. Bruce is now qualified to serve.
L. H. Luttrell Appointed

Landern H. Luttrell, of Amissville was appointed Tuesday, July 14, 1959 by Judge R. V. Snead to fill the unexpired term of the late A C. Latham as supervisor for Jackson Magisterial District on the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County.
