Wasn’t it a delightful rain we had Sunday? Everything looks so pretty and green.
Friday, Ray Snead, Nancy and Elizabeth Latham and Y a t e s y Schaefer got their driving license, but a couple of the mammas didn’t do so well. Yatesy’s mother and Sarah got parking tickets. I had always heard Culpeper gave the visitors of their town a friendly warning first! Oh, Well.
Miss Annie Stephenson is a patient in St. L^ikes Hospital in Richmond. She is getting along just fine and we hear Mrs. Verner is doing 'fine in Front Royal Hospital. Charles Reid is visited just about daily in Winchester Hospital by his family and they hope he will be able to come home in a -week. Jimmie Settle is hoping it will not be too long before he is able to be back at the Clerk’s office." Today I met Mrs. Elliott Doyle for the first time and I was sorry to hear Elliott has been right sick but is getting along nicely.
Stump Many Pias gotten, a position in Washington, D. C. and from all we can hear she just loves it.
Guess all you folks are planning on attending the carnival in Sperryville this weekend. They have one of those real cute little cars they will give away on Saturday night.
Our town will be pretty quiet tomorrow with no primary, but I guess there will be plenty of excitement all around us. I have been hearing right much by the grape vine about write-ins at the fall election, and that there will be candidates running for different offices in the cofinty. Guess time
