Frank Huff of Washington, Va. has announced his candidacy for sheriff of Rappahannock subject to the general election in November. He has filed the necessary notices with the Clerk of the Court at Washington and with proper authorities in Richmond.

Collection Plates Given

Silver collection plates have been •given to the Amissville Baptist Church by John A. Luttrell of Parkersburg. West Virginia. A dedication service was held Sunday evening at R p.m. at the church, at which time Miss Mary Hughes and L. H.' Luttrell presented the plates on behalf of their uncle, Mr. Luttrell, whose declining health made his presence impossible.

The collection plates match the communion set which Mr. Luttrell had previously given the church.
