Tragedy
The day was dark and dreary. As eveaing approached, the drizzle that had been falling all'afternoon began to freeze. One by one the citizens of the community returned home and closed the door to the north wirld and were thankful for their warm home, bright, cheerful fire ano warm beds.
Midnight found the town asleep. At 12:21 every one was awakened by the shrill sound of the siren. Most of the community cursed the noise that had awakened them. A few curious souls got on the telephone to try to find out where the fire was.
