Uaughter ot the late William F. Bowen and Margaret Clizer Bowen, and a native of Rappahannock County, she was 85.
She is survived by four grandchildren, John Thompson of Falls Church, Paul Thompson of the U. S. Navy, stationed in England, Albert Thompson of Staunton, arid Mrs. Thomas Taylor of Sperryville, children of her daughter, hte late Mrs. Irene Swindler Thompson; and six great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Compton of Washington, D. C. and Mrs. (Edith Hisle of Amissvillc.
Funeral services were held Suraday, November 26, from Geest Funeral Chapel, Elder Russell Thompson officiating. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery at Washington, Va.
Pallbearers were W i 1 li a nil Wharton, Charles Compton, Lee Swindler, Edward Bowen; Clyde Atkins and Frank Atkins.
