Several cases of snakebites have been reported this summer, mainly involving copperheads. Caution should be taken when hiking, or in any area which might harbor snakes. Deputy Everett Estes holds a timber rattler which was killed in Sycamore Hollow recently. Tins snake was run over by an auto and injured then, the deputy finished it off.
