The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors invites bids to cover the following work: a. Compact, cover with dirt and recompact all refuse at Old County dump, located on Route 642, Jackson District near Amissville. (See Section 32, lot 29A, Property Identification maps Rappahannock County, Virginia in Zoning Office). Refuse is scattered over an area of approximately 90,000 square feet. Refuse must be covered with one foot of compacted and graded fill dirt and seeded with orchard grass. (7 lb. unhulled per acre). Adequate drainage must be demonstrated.

b. Bids should be submitted in writing to the Clerk’s office no later than close of business July 31, 1974.

NOTE TO BIDDERS:

a. Bidders will have salvage rights to all refuse including any trees which must be removed incidental to this operation.

b. Fill dirt may be obtained from site, provided the borrow - site is satisfactorily graded and seeded.

c. Each phase of this operation will be subject to inspection and approval of the County Engineer.

COMPLETION AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

One-third payment will be made at the satisfactory completion of each phase as described below:

Phase 1 — Initial grading and compacting

Phase 2 — Dirt covering and compacting

Phase 3 — Final grading, clean-up and seeding
