Mr. and Mrs. George Welch of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Virginia Gibson and B.W. Weaver of Front Royal were visitors in the James E. Williams home Friday.
A 4-H Fun Shop was held Monday and Wednesday monrings of this week from 10 til 12 in the home of Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey, with 18 boys and girls registered the first day. Mrs. Llewelyn Allison County Agent, was in charge and assisted by Mrs. Nora Sealock, Mrs. Doris Williams, Mrs. Mary Hickerson, and Mrs. Gilkey. The youth, who ranged from 8 to 12 years, received instruction in crafts and simple cooking and had a light lunch.
Mrs. Mattie Wines and granddaughter, Janet Wines, are spending this week at their church camp in Martinsburg, W. Va.
Mr. and Mrs. James Fox and son “J” returned Friday from a threeweeks’ trip west with stops in Omaha, Nebr., Taux, N. Mex., Denver and Alamosa, Colo. This included a family reunion in the home of Mrs. Fox’ mother, Mrs.
