If traffic estimates mean anything, then the best place to put a Rappahannock County visitor center may he next to the library on U S. 211

For it is there at Avondale farmhouse - one of the spots being considered - that 6,200 cars pass daily, more than anywhere else in the county.

Traffic - or patterns of travel within and around the county - emerged as a key issue for the Rappahannock Tourism Group at its first meeting Fnday to come up with a place to put a county visitor center.
