New community project: Senior Angel Tree
Rappahannock County folks have
another wonderful opportunity to give
back to their community A new program
has been launched called the Senior Angel
Tree modeled after a similar, successful
program in Culpeper.
Participants at the Rappahannock
Senior Center at Scrabble School, recipients
of the RRCSB-AAA Home-Delivered
Meals, and additional seniors recommended
by Social Services will be given a designated
“angel” to be hung on one of three
trees throughout the county
The angel will be assigned a number
and will disclose only basic pertinent
information about the senior; it will provide
a wish list of ideas for a Christmas
gift the senior would like to receive These
