eel to such an extent that the second floor must be completed. For this purpose the present solicitation for $45,000, our share, is in progress. Fortunately, our community can obtain $199,500 in construction at the cost of $45, 000. The Ford Foundation allotted $44,600 to the hospital last year. Federal and State aid through the Hill-Burton program amounts to $104,500. The Lions Club in 1952 began a fund to complete the building by contributing $500, and other gifts and donations available amount to $5,000. Thus $45,000 is needed from our community to complete this project. For every $1.00 given locally on this drive, more than $4.00 has been obtained from other sources, $4 for $1. The Board of Managers and those con nected closely with the hospital believe there will be no further need for enlarge ment of these facilities in the foreseeable future. The hospital plant will have been completed. The dedicated people who have contrib uted $346,000 to this institution since 1950 will supply the needed fund of $45,000 for its completion, we feel sure. The sum is not impossible, if everyone will contribute a share in this undertaking. It is hoped that the campaign which began last Thursday will be completed quicklv and construction can begin at an early date. Dear reader, will you do your part in this undertaking?
