Apple Festival Queen
It is observed that Miss Anne Carieton Hadley, chosen to be Queen Shenandoah XXIII at Winchester’s Apple Blossom Festival this year, April 27 and 28, has promised to do her best at the traditional baking of an apple pie.

W. T. Knisley Appointed
Scout Field Executive
S. Byrne Downing, Jr., president of the Shenandoah Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, this week announced the selection of Wm. T. Knislev of Lynchburg, as Field Scout Executive, to replace the position vacated by John I. Moore. Mr. Knisley has been a Feld Scout Executive in the Piedmont Area Council at Lynchburg, Va., since January He is a graduate of the 81th National Training School and is well experienced in the type work necessary in the Shenandoah Area Council.
