Miss Barbara Eldridge, a student at Randolph-Macon College, Lynchburg, is spending a week at “Rockbottom,” the home of Capt and Mrs. H. C Warwick. " Miss Ethel Ong was the guest of Mrs. R. M. Johnson Monday.

Misses Sis . and Bertha Johnson, Mrs. L. C. Quaintance and Mrs. H. B. Wood motored to Lignum Sunday afternoon and were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cary Stout.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert tJpdike were in Winchester on Sunday afternoon visiting Mrs. Jessie Manuel, who was a patient in the Winchester Memorial Hospital recuperating from a major operation. Mrs. Manuel’s condition, is good and expects to leave the hospital in a few days.
