Dear Editor: *
Your column—“Some Observations Pro and Con” in last , week’s Rappahannock News was of special interest to us in the school as -it concerned the dances given in the school auditorium—and, in particular, the dance on Friday night, December 11.
Let me say that our teachers, without exception as far as 1 am aware, are in complete agreement with your
elements of the crowd at the dance— also in agreement with your observation concerning the lack of.guarantee •of good,behavior.
The high school teachers, in a called meeting Monday, December 14—three days before publication of your column—decided unanimously that there would be no more public square dances sponsored by the -high school. Other organizations, at their own risk, and subject to the approval and consent of’ the school board, might continue to offer these dances if they so desire.
The high school plans to continue, subject to the approval of the school board and parents, occasional parties and dances for the high school pupils and their invited guests. * Respectfully,
