Can you believe that you do believe in Jesus as the Christ, the Saviour ol the world?. • “For unto you is born this day in the city o £ David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 “Who- • soever believeth that Jesus is the \Christ is born of God.” 1 John 5:1.
A belief is a conviction about confidence in, or trust upon something
order for one to be guided or motivated by his beliefs he must come to realize that he does have confidence in what he believes even though he does' not throughly understand how to prove or justify his countentions. Any person can determine what he believes by examining his actions and state of being.
“But wiltshou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?’’ James 2 :20. *
In our present day one can see many signs- which indicate that many ^people are not convinced that they believe Jesus is the Saviour. Common sense will tell us that a live faith will produce works. Among the works of a real faith in Jesus as the. Christ we find peace, joy and good will. An individual who believes in Jesus should be able to experience the works of his faith and know that his faith is not dead. v
Many people are eagerly seeking something to do in the church and the community in Order to show that they have faith. But in their own lives their faith is not at work and this keeps their physical actions from having the desired effect upon society. One person whose faith is producing works will have more e? feet upon the community than alt the bazzars and church suppers that cah be put on in twenty years.
Assurance of eternal life, peace that passeth understanding, joy unspeakable, freedom from fear, these are works of faith in Jesus as the Christ. Without these words one’s faith is "dead.
