Nofconly does he try to grow his own feed for his livestock but he ii also a member of the Rappahannock 4-H Livestock Judging team and attends the sheep shearing school at Warrenton each year. >• At present he owns 10 ewes;, a total of 9 cows and calves, a purebred Hampshire gilt, and hasi an acre of pretty good corn despite the dry weather. This year! he attended the Short Course atl Blacksburg where he received a! week’s further training in caring for livestock. We heard by thq grape vine that Glen did not spend all his time looking at livestock while he was down at VPL

With Kelly going off to college come September, Glen will be head man with the sheep shears at the Updike farm. We know that Glen has learned his jobf well under the guidance and encouragement of Kelly and his parents. We are proud to submit his record as“4-H’er of the month.
