Feeder Calf Nominations Due
If you plan to sell your feeder calves through either the Northern Virginia Feeder Calf sale or the Rappahannock Angus Feeder Calf sale, please let us know how many you will have before Sept. 1st. The Winchester sale is scheduled for October 8th and the Rappahannock Angus sale for October 12th. The Rappahannock sale in addition to feeder calves will this year handle yearlings and veals. Several new consignors have already made nominations to both sales. It is also advisable to book veterinarian service well in advance this year. While health requirements to be met are *still “within thirty (30) days of sale date”, Rappahannock is without a Veterinarian and those located outside the county report they are flooded with dairy herd work trying to get them in shape to meet
