The Rappahannock County High School Parents-Tcachers Association will have a joint meeting Tuesday night* January 11 with, the Flint Hill P-T A and the Sperryville P-T A to discuss the merits of having a driver education course introduced into the high school. „ „ At this meeting in the RCHS 'auditorium at 7 JO the interested persons in the county will hear a lycture and viewsa .picture on the , subject, both conducted by the Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. * Driver education has proved to be one of the most effective, if not the most effective, answer to auto accidents. Its purpose is to reach the new driver before he picks up improper habits from learnning to drive by the "hit-or-miss” method. It is given by trained teachers. "The professional driver not only doesn’t cause accidents. He is sharp enough to outguess the amateur, and not be hit by him.”

Auxiliary Discusses
Birthday Dinner,
Planned, for Jan. 28
The Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department discussed their year’s plan of work in the January meeting .held Monday night in the, court house.
A birthday dinner for the fine*-' men and the selling of an antique chocolate pitcher, presented the organization by Mrs. W. F. Moffett, were put forth as the January activities. -
Motions were made to purchase • three drawer file in which to keep the organization’s materials accumulated over the years, and to-buy a permanent minute book.
The informal dinner honoring the local firemen will be held the night of January 28, The various ' committees are making 'more complete plans for the dinner.
It was suggested that the following facts be published: The Ladies Auxiliary is purely a civjc organization formed to help the firemen in their work. Any person in the vicinity of Washington is automatically a member of the Organization, by virtue of his residence. If anyone would like to become an active member, she need only attend a meeting of the Auxiliary and make known her wishes. The regular meeting of the organization is held the first Monday of each month at 7 JO in the auxiliary room over the fire house.
