Lucy M. Stuart
Mrs. Lucy Millan Stuart, wellloved native of Rappahannock,, died at the age of 89, on Wednesday, December 29, at the home of Mrs. Tenie M. Gaunt, following a long period of failing health.
Mrs. Stuart was barn in Woodi ville, a daughter of D. Lyle Millan and Mary Caldwell Millan. For many years she taught ; in the county schools.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January^ 1 in Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington with the Rev.jMri Johry Frizzell officiating. Burial iwas in the Masonic Cemetery, 1
D. D. Miller, W. A. Miller, C. J. Miller, Joe DeJ. Keyser, L. J. Turner and Charles Reid were active pallbearers, at ithe burial.
Mrs. Stuart is survived by 2~ sons* William Stuart of Beltsvillc, Maryland, and Capt.'C. J. Stuart, who is stationed with the U.S.N. in the Far East, 3 grandchildren, Mary and John t>f Beltsvillc and Mrs. Betty Stuart Stanley of Columbia, Missouri and 1 great grandchild, and a half sister, Miss Josie Millan of Washington, D.C.
