Mrs. EL W. Brown )
Mrs. Elizabeth Eastham Brown, wife of Dr. Edward W. Brown, deceased, a practicing physician in the county for 60 years, died Sunday, February 6th, at her home in Washington.
Mrs. Brown was bom July 14, ,1867, in what is now known as Houston County, Texas, the; daughter of the late Arthur Eastham and Sarah Ann Harris Eastham. Mr. Eastham died when his daughter, Elizabeth, was a youngster. She, her mother and seven brothers and sisters returned to Virginia to make their home with Mrs. Eastham’s parents, Richard and Elizabeth Miller Harris. At the age of maturity of her children, Mrs. Eastham returned to Texas with her family. Soon afterwards E. W» Brown was married to Miss Elizabeth Eastham. They made their hame in Washington and lived there through the years until their death at elderly ages.
Mrs. Brown was much admired for asserted independence of living and true home hospitality.
Services were conducted from her residence Tuesday afternoon
at 2:30J>y the Reverend G. M. Profitt. Burial was in the Masonic CenHetery.
