State Chairman Colgate W. Darden, Jr. has announced the appointment of William H. Lyne of Spfcrryville as Chairman of the Savings Bonds Committee of Rap-, pahannock County. He is a native ^ of Orange County and holds the B. S. Degree in animal husbandry. After four and one-half years in the Coast Artillery, Anti-Aircraft, including 32 months in the S. W. Pacific area, he became County Agent of Rappahannock.
He married the former Frances Cottrell of Toano, Virginia. They have two children, and are members of the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church of Sperryville.
Mr. Lyne succeeds J. R. Brown, Jr., who resigned after accepting a position in Albemarle County. Chairman Darden expressed appreciation- of Mr. Brown’s accomplished service during the last four years and wishes him success in his new location.
