Mr. Wood bad made a motion earlier in the meeting to pass the tentative budget as it was. This motion was seconded by Foster, with the vote being: for adopting the tentative budget, Wood, Foster Latham, Campbell and against, adopting the tentative budget, Buckner and Estes. . This calls lor no addition fo last year's levy of $3.25. At the road hearing held at die • supervisors meeting, the following requests were heard: \ 1. A request from E. M. Jones to blacktop to 1 mile, on 628 Todderstack", from Rush River north. 2. A request from H. B. Wood, that all the roads in Stonewall District be surface treated. 3. A request from G. E. Doyle ct al, to surface treat section 645. s»~ 4. A request from W. L. Baumbach, president of Rappahannock Development Corp. (known popularly as Wilson Lake Project), for surface treatment of Route 645 and he also requested that state authorities make a survey at die earliest possible , date. 5. A request from Eddie j. Hitt, to add 1.4 mile off Route 613 to the secondary system. > 6. A maintenance request from Fred Dominy, from Route 600Route 707 to the Madison County1 line, approximatey 3 miles.
7. A request from W. C. Williams, Emory Russell et al, that J2 of a mile of a road into the Mt.| View Sub-Division, in Wakefield; District be put into the secondary system. Mr. Williams is giving a 40-foot right of way on this pro-; ‘ject.
8. A request from J. R. Boldredige and others that approximately 1 mile on Route 640 be surface treated, blacktopped.
9. A request for a bridge from Oakly Bowen, on Route 600 between Rts. 600 and 653.
10. A request from the Rev. Richard Trout, for an extension of Rt. 626 for maintance, approximately 200 yards.

The Saturday morning bake sale, with Mrs. Cox acting as manager, had been quite succeee ful, clearing in the neighborhood of $25.00. Talking of the success of this venture, the members voted to have instead of the May 11 fried dinner, 2 bake sales one April 28 and another in June.
Mrs. Bowie was bootees at the social hour.
