Hold Call Meeting
A called meeting of the Washington Volunteer Fire Co., was held at the Fire House on Wednesday, December 12, at 7:30 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting was to elect officers for 1957, and to revise the active membership list.
Upon nominations duly made and seconded, the following officers were elected;
Luther Payne, Chief; Charlie Jenkins, Assistant Chief; Rev. John R. Frizzell, Sec. and Treas,; and Jett Woodward, Hose Captain.
A vote of thanks was given Morgan Johnston in appreciation of his interest and work as sect, and treasurer.
A list of the. active members was read and several names were removed and placed on the Honorajy Membership Roll. Others were transfeerred to inactive membership status.
