Silas Marion Cornell
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 18th at 1:30 p.tn. at the Clone Funeral Home Chapel, Culpeper, Va., for Silas Marion Cornell, Sperryvlile, Va., who died Sunday, December 16 at his home after an illness of two months. The Rev. Jerry Holloway conducted the services. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
Mr. Cornell, who was 67 years old, was bom in Rappahannock County; The son of William R. Cornell and Lucy Bailey Cornell.
iHe was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucy Dwyer Cornell, Sperryville, Va., one son, Lee Cornell, of Sperryville, Va., two daughters, Mrs. Ray Dwyer, of Elkwood, Va., and Mrs. George Johnson of Hartwood, Va.,; two brothers, James B. of Sperryville, and John H. Cornell of Marshall, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Lavania Atkins of Sperryville, and Mrs. Mary Frazier of Remington, Va.
Active pallbearers were J. B. Atkins. Lee Thornton, Clyde Atkins, George Taylor and Carlton Atkins.
