The Rappahannock County free chest x-ray campaign closed Friday with 427 pepple having x-rays, according to announcement Saturday hv Mrs. (iladys Lewis, executive director of the Front Royal-Warren Tuberculosis Association serving Rappahannock.
On the opening day, Thursday. NO were x-rayed at Sperrvville, and 68 at Washington, Va. The prizze for the oldest person being x-rayed that day went to Mrs. Florence Johnson, 88, of Woodville. !
Friday, at [Amissville 94 were x-rayed, and at Flint Hill 125. The prize for the oldest person being x-rayed that day wen to Mack Weaver, 89 i last (Vtober. of Amissville.
The prizes were given, according to Mrs. Loewis, to dramatize the need for a|l ages to be on the alert against fhis dread disease, especially those over 40 vears of

Of the 427 x-rayed, 224 were over 40 years of age. Mrs. Fa’wis said. Also, 56 of the 427 had never been x-rayed beflore. and 210 were males, and 217 females, of the total number.
