Culpeper Dragons will play the Washington Monarchs, Sunday, August 25th at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Knott Inn, Admission, 25c & 50c. Come root for the home team.

There will be all day serv ices at Promise Land Baptist Church. __ Washington, Va., Sunday, August 25th. Dinner will be served on the grounds.

The morning sermon will be ^ rendered by our pastor Rev. L. C. Childs. At 3:30 p.m. services will be rendered by the Rev. Henry Housten, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Rassyln'. Va. At 8:00 -p.m. the United Gospel Chorus of Washington, D. C. will render a prograiti.

Everyone is invited ’ to attend these services and help make them a success.

Revival ^services will be the following week August 26-30.

The Youth Council of the four counties will render a program and f social at the Washington Baptist Church on Friday, August 23.

The Male Chorus of the Carron Baptist Church of Washington. D. C. will render a program at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodvilie, Va.. Saturday. August 24 at 8 p.m.

GEORGE fV. EE ASS George W. Evans of Washing- - ton. Va.. age 49, died Saturday. August 10 in the University HosV-nttal. Charlottesville, after a short illness. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Eliza Freeman Evans; two -sisers, Mrs. Maggie Bel Hawkins of Jamacia. N. Y. and Mrs. Alice Turner of Culpeper; two stepsons. MaJoi» and Raymond Freeman of Washington, Va.; one aunt, Mrs. Lillie Yates of Culpeper ; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
