Rescue Squad

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Fire Company met on Monday by kind invitation at “Hjrospice,” the home of Mr. and MSL B- R. C°*. Present were Mrs. B. R. Cox, Mrs. C. T. Bruce, Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Mrs. Elizabeth H. DeBergh, Miss Mary Miller Wood, Misses Mary ahd Ruby Jenkins and the auxiliary welcomed the enrollment <j»f two new members. Miss Phyllis: Hudson and Miss Ann Lee. Tbe Ladies voted to give the fire company $350 and the Rescue Squad $100-00 f°r their annual contribution. The auxiliary regrets the resignation of Mrs, Cox after along and faithful term of service. The vacancy has not been filled. The auxiliary will welcome volunteers for membership and service as the load is heavy for so1 small a group of suchorganization

Miss Mary M. Wood volunteered to conduct the February meeting. There is also a vacancy for Vice President due to the resignation of ;Mrs, C. ;T. Bruce. The ever-faithful Misses Mary and Ruby Jenkins remained as Secretary and Treasurer.

Delicious refreshments of ambrosia rum and fruit cake, candy, nuts and coffee were served at the adjournment of business.
