The Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist Church met onWednesday evening in the home of Miss Ruth Menefee and Mrs, V, M. Lewis. Mrs. Brown, the president, led the devotional followed by a discussion on Japan, During the business session our objectives were set iip for the New Year. There were 9 members present. Mril Good son dismissed: the 'meeting with a prayer, after which the hostess served refreshments. .

Mr. arid Mrs, J. B. Johnson Jr. of, Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Payne of Madisoh and Clyfle Johnson of Culpeper were guests on Sunday of Mr, and Mrs. Joe B, j Johnson. Mr. Johnson, who recently returned from Warren Memorial Hospital, is improving very satisfactorily. ,
