John William Brown
John William Brown, retired farmer of Sperryville, died at hi* home Friday, April 11 after a long period of illness, ijttr. Brown, 89 year* of age, was the son of the late William1 Brown and Mary Virginia Atkins of Rappahannock County. He was married to Laura Woodard Brown who passed away in 1941. *
He is survived by two sons, Richard D. Brown of Sperryville and Lacy W. Brown of Cleveland, N. C.j five daughters, Mrs. Annie Winterbaner of St. Louis, 111.* Mrs. Virginia Frazier of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Bessie Atkins of Hampton, Mrs. Frances Loper of Hampton, and Mrs. Emma Sisk of Arlington; two brothers, Que Brown of Sperryville, Luther Brown of Sperryville; two sisters, Mrs. Lilly Jenkins of Fredericksburg and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 14 at 3 pjn. from Reynolds Memorial Baptist
