Read the label! That's, the .number one and most important rule when you’re using pesticides this season, says associate entomoligist atVFI. ! When the label directs workers to wear goggles, it means to wear them whenever the chemical is handled, mixed, or applied, not just part of the time. If the label says to have the body completely covered, you are taking* a chance on severe irritation, sickness, or death if you have a hand sticking out, a tear in the short sleeye, or a cheek uncovered.
Be economical and play safe. Have a dry and separate building for keeping chemicals in their original containers with labels intact. If kept dry they wjll be just as good next year as this year If the label becomes defaced or illegibble replace with a new label and complete information. The building should always fefc kept locked, and only reliable adults (no children) should have access to it. In this building it is well to h*ve respirators, rubber gloves, first aid information, antidotes for chemicals being Arsed, and an adequate water supply.
Keft-overs should never be buried or just thrown out. Either keep left-overs for future use or spray or spread them over the ground thiny. Be sure what the pesticide is and spray or scatter where safe. If it is necessary to dispose of pesticides, pace in a sanitary land-filled garbage disposal.
