Leaving the lobby the dining room and kitchen were to my right with the dietician’s office in this area also. The kitchen equipment is all stainless steel and a walk-in refrigerator and another large one are at the end'of the kitchen.

The hospital opened with 56 adult beds and 18 bassinets andt it can be expanded to 69 adult beds by converting 13 private rooms into semi-private rooms. The heat rnd a’rconditioning is individually cotrolled in each room. If there is ; power failure, a diesel engine starts automatically, to operate a 100 KV generator which will provide emergency power. ,
Mr. Dehaven stated that the cement used to pour concrete was 13 carloads here is \Vz acres of floor slab; the conduit to house wiring measured 43,130 feet and there are 23 miles of wiring in th£ hospital.
