Ben Venue Farms, located on U.S. Route 211, was established ir 1809 by William Fletcher. The •trick residence "was built by him ir* 1844. The brick was made on the premises and the lumber was cut, from timber on the place. The glass and hardware, including door* hinges and locks, came from Efig* land. , < j
Col. and Mrs. Charles W; King moved here in 1949. Mrs. King is a great granddaughter of William FI etcher. The farm land has -been in her family continuously for 150 years.
