Rep. Burr P. Harrison has called to die attention of high school graduates arx} high school ^seniors the coming nationwide competitive examinations for entrance to the United States Coast Guard Academy.
Mr. Harrison emphasized that there are no Congressional appointments to this Academy and all young men interested in entering next July mujt apply to compete in die nationwide test to be given February 23 and 24, 1960.
Gradies of the | Coast Guard Academy, which is located at New London, Connecticut receive commissions as career officers in the Coast Guard and Bachelor of Science degrees. Candidates for the class entering next year must have reached the 17th biijthday, but not the 22nd birthday by July 1, 1960.
