Another week, another Ramblings and nothing to write.
Betty and Jake had a beautiful wedding and everyone had such a nice time. Betty’s gown was lovely. Her mother had made it.
Carlyle Lea stopped by and chatted with me for a few seconds just now. I asked him who would be the next of the old gang to get married. Can you guess who he said????
Saw Ben Cox at the post office thus morning. He laughingly told me he had a present for me. a nice great big gourd. Last summer I cooked a mess of them thinking they were squash. Never did taste anything so bitter, even with butte', salt and pepper.
Speaking of flavor, the latest thing in the suburbs of Amissville is raspberry-beetle ice cream.
Elizabeth DeBergh asked me to keep after_you good people to bring in your donations for the rummage sale. They have gotten I very little so far.
