Man Found Dead In
Field At Anussville
Gus Mason, a sixty-eight year old carpenter of Washington, D. C. was found dead, apparently of a heart attack. Tuesday afternoon in a field on the farm of Charlie Compton at Amissvilte.
Mr. and Mrs. Mason were spending a few days at their slimmer home, the Berry Putnam place, which was the former home of Mrs. Mason. About daylight, Mr. Mason went out hunting for ground hogs. When he failed to return at the time expected, Mrs. Mason and her brother, Ernest Putnam, started searching for him. They found the body about 3 p.m. Doctors estimated he hiad been dead nine hourly
Besides his wife, Mrs. Ada Putnam Mason, he is survived by a nine year old son, John Morgan Mason.
