THE Rappahannock Chapter of the American Cancer Society in conjunction with the Rappahannock County Health Department is sponsoring a free pap, blood pressure and breast examination clinic on Saturday, October 30, from noon until 4 p.m in the new medical clinic at Washington.
All who have examinations will receive a “positive” or “negative” report and any negative reports will be referred to a doctor of the person’s choice for follow up.
“When the Skin Clinic was held last March, 141 people were screened, resulting in a 30% referral rate. This means that 47 people had problems which needed attention. This type of early detection is all important,” said Mrs. W. H. Lyne who is in charge of the clinic publicity.
