A single vehicle crash occurred October 22 on Route 231 south of Sperryville. According to Trooper C. A. Moore, Dorothy Ann Bell of Sperryville driving a 1966 Ford ran off the right of the road, veered back across the highway and went down an embankment. Her injuries were minor and no charges were placed.

On the Washington bypass Saturday two cars collided resulting in much property damage but all escaped serious injury.

Mildred W. Frazer of Annandale operating a 74 Oldsmobile station wagon was traveling west when she was struck by Terry Wayne Fritts of Washington operating a 73 Chevrolet owned by Walter R. Payne, also of Washington.

According to Trooper R. A. Baines, Fritts pulled from the intersection of Washington business district and Washington bypass of Route 211 into the path of the Frazer car. The incident is still under investigation.
