Brownies and Girl Scouts, Cubs and Boy Scouts have trooped onto die grounds by the score for their meetings'and special programs. The Rappahannock Garden Club held one of its monthly meetings there, as did the Rappahannock Women’ Club. And the 4-H Arts and Crafts program attracted a large group of participants and admirers during July.
Three churches of Washington, the Methodist, Baptist, and Episcopal, got together and held a joint Vacation Bible School on the grounds, with a daily attendance of about 60 students.
