Mr. Brown was boro Feb Ilk HMD in Sperryville. son of the late William 4.. and Sarah Jenkins Brown.
He was a member of the WWvne Community College and was in the U. S. Navy
Mr. Brown worked for North Carolina Forest Service as a warden.
He is survived h>' his wile. Shirey K. Brown. Mineral. Vis.. a son. John W. Brown. Jr., of Stephens City and a daughter. Shannon Lowry, of Madison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother. Joe Brown and sister Nancy B. Flrits.
Funeral services were held Sent. 21 at Morning Star Lutheran Church in Luray with Rev Jeffrey 0. Marble and Rev. David Johnson officiating Interment followed in Morning Star Lutheran Cemetery witli military honors.
