For many years short courses, farmers' Institutes and various other meetuings have been held for the benefit of the farmers and farmers' wives of ev"ery state. This and all other agricultural education has been chiefly directed to the grown-up people. Today educators everywhere are beginning to realize that the boys and girls, who are to be the future managers of our farms, have been neglected. Even their schools have not been of the proper kind and the subjects taught there are anything but inviting to the free and Inquiring minds of farm children. Not a single subject has been taught them which should fit them for their duties of life or which bring them closer to their work. There may be some good reasons why many bright country boys and girls have left the old farm and gone to the more luring life of the cities.
