The ground floor is occupied by the class rooms, offices and laboratories of the soils department, the bulletin offices, the agricultural journalism department, and the Iowa Agriculturist, a paper published by the Agricultural club. On the first floor are the offices of Dean Curtiss, the library and reading room, and the offices and class rooms of the animal husbandry department. The second floor is occupied by the horticultural and agricultural chemistry departments. The farm crops and extension departments occupy the top floor. At the back of the building is a semi-circular wing, containing an assembly room, with a seating capacity of nearly a thousand. This will be used for the meetings of the Agricultural club and other agricultural gatherings, and as a lecture room during short courses.
