College Women’s Basketball Team Defeats Roanoke I-ongwcod College's w o m e n 's basketball team opened its 1953 campaign last week with a 56-48 ; victory over Roanoke College. Miss Iler's Longwood squad held a slim lead for three quarters, but spurt ed m the last rive minutes to wid en the margin. Playing for Longwood were: guards. Mary Ann Ward. Sue Webb. Eleanor Koch.
