Election Contests
Election fever ran high Tuesday as over 1000 v oters turned out to elect J. W. Price, Jr., Commonwealth’s Attcrney over hu opponent, A. M|. Hickman, in the dnly seriously (contested seat.; The Only other contested office i was for State Senator. George S. Aldhizer, was apposed by Ei N. Beard. Aldhizjer carried each precinct in the cdunty by a large majority. .
In the race for Commonwealth Attorney, Hickman carried Jackson, Wakefield and Hampton dis. tricts by snjall margins, while Price carried Stonewall, Hawthorne and pedmpnt by more healthy margins.
