Mrs. Maratha Day and Mrs. Martha Love of Richmond, land Mrs. J. P. Cook ate dinner atj the Virginia Gentleman Friday evening. James Day, Jr., of Randolph Macon Academy and Mr]*. Cook, Mrs. Day and Mrs. Love werjjt to Richmond Saturday,5 and during the week end Mrs. Cook visited friends in the city. Mrs. Pay was hostess to a group of friends, entertaining them at dinnerj in honor of Mrs. Cook’s birthday Saturday, Mrs. Day and her! nephew Buddy Campbell accompanied Mrs. Cook and James Day back to Flint Hill Sunday night.
The Baptist Missionary Society met with Mrs. Walter Krause Friday evening. Mrs. O. W. Gilbert, Jr., new president of the group conducted the business meeting, which was followed by the program, in charge of Mrs. John S. Browning. Those present were Miss Nannie Dearing of, Huntly, and Mrs. W. Ai Moore. The hostess served refreshments during the social hour. j
Sunday guests of Mrs. Frank Cary were Mrs. Angus Hopkins and children of Woodstock. They all attended church school Sunday morning at the Methodist church.
