At the November meeting of

Am;««OTiu yjF^p, .U was decided to install the badly needed heating plant in the fire house, r It is expected that the plant will be in operation December first.

Net proceeds of the 1955 Fall Festival have now been reported as $4200.00 with all but one bill having been paid, and the'Comparatively small amount still undetermined. This is about $60Q.OO more than netted in the 1954 Festival. Profits of the Auxiliary are not included in the above.

The new flag pole has been installed and the fire house will now proudly display the National Colors on holidays, and such other occasions as the Department may deem desirable. The pole, was erected with profits of the Fall Festival obtained through the efforts of the Amiss.ville Junior Volunteer Firemen, who donated such profit for the specific purpose.

The flag itself was donated to the Department by Mrs. Estelle (Mossie) Brown of the Amissville (colored) Women’s Progressive Club, and the thanks of the Department have been extended to her. At the October meeting Captain L. B. Stuart submitted his written resignation as an active member of die Department and at the same time his resignation as Treasurer. active member. |

President Thomas Tear announced at the November meeting his intention to resign as of January 1, 1956. He desires to continue as an active member.
