Completes Test
With Korea Corps
PFC Edward L. Hawkins, 22,— son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond F, Hawkins, Woodvi 11c, Va. recently completed a battalion test with the I Corps in Korea.
The test, held in snow and subzero weather, measured the combat efficiency of Hawkins’ unit, the 19th Infantry Regiment’s 2nd BattSlion. The battalion topped all previous scores with 92.6 per cent. A driver with the battalion's Company G, Hawkips entered the Army in August 1954 and completed basic training at Camp Gordon, Georgia. He arrived overseas in January 1955.
