WASHINGTON W.M.S. MET TUESDAY The W. M. S. of the Washington Baptist Church met at the church Tuesday, March 6th at 2:30. The president Mrs. J. Frank Jones had charge of the program. Mrs. C. G. Reid, read the Scripture from Luke 10-23-37. The topic /‘Make Me a Channel of Blessing.”
Those present were Mrs. Gilbert Updike, Miss Margaret Compton, Mrs. Frank Moffett, Mrs. Lottie Burton, Mrs. W. C. Campbell and Mrs. Guy Burke.
A day of prayer was held in the Baptist church Wednesday March 7th at 3 o’clock, Mrs. j. Frank Jones was in charge. SPERRYVILLE P.-T. A. TO MEET MARCH 12
The Sperryville P. T. A. will meet Monday, March 12 at 7:30 P. M. in the Sperryville Elementary School. “How We Can Solve The Teacher’s Shortage”, is the subject for discussion at this meeting. Mr. Gasqye win De present to answer any questions. Please -note change in meeting date.

Dabney Eastham brought a sheep claim before the board, and a chicken claim was heard from Hencil Dodson. Both claims were upheld and ordered paid.
By majority vote, the salary of the official in charge of the reassessment was set at $425 per month, with 7 cents a mile for travling expenses. The county citizens on the reassessment committee were voted a $15.00 per day salary.
