Sale Every Friday

Each Friday from 3 to 7 P. M. throught the summer you will find the doors to the Rummage Sale in the Rescue Squad building open wide to welcome you. r The sale has a three-fold purpose: FIRST to give you an opi portunity to help your Fire Department.

SECOND, to pick up real bargains for you and every member of your family. THIRD, to give you an opportunity to get rid of things you no longer need and that are cluttering up your cabinets, closets, attics and so forth. Any and everything will be welcomed. We have plenty of space so bring it along when you come to the sale Friday or send it. The sale is next door to Lea’s Store.

To those who have contributed and assisted with the sale, the Auxiliary wishes to express appreciation for your fine spirit of cooperation.

Auxiliary Meets

Mrs. G. W. Smith, president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the lire Company, opened the regular session at the Fire Hall Monday evening with twenty-two members present.

It was decided to buy some new tableware for the hall so that 100 people could be served at a buffet supper at the same time. They also voted to purchase Venitian blinds for the main part of the hall for protection from the sun.

Definite plans have been perfected for the carnival. Mrs. M. R. Bradford urged the members to support the “Queen” drive, as not enough interest is being shown so far. She pointed out that this feature is free of cost to the Fire Company. Everyone was asked to
