During the simulated attack, be explained, CONELRAD will be in effect from 3:10 to 3:26 p.m., on July 20th, Wyse said, all locations have been advised concerning the frequency to be used in each area.

“If you do not know which frequency to rely on, try 640 and 1240 on your radio until the broadcast comes in,” Wyse added.

The third annual "OPERATION ALERT” will bring into coordinated action the civil defense organisations of the United States, the Department of Defense, the Office of Defense Mobilisation, other Federal Department and agencies and the Dominion of Canada.
